MOUNT VERNON – This coming Thursday, November 20, celebrates the end of the 8th season of the Chautauqua/Lyceum Series and the first program in the new location of ThePlace@TheWoodward [now located next door to the Alcove in Downtown Mount Vernon at 120 S. Main Street and is a first floor facility that is special needs friendly]. And what a way to end the season then to present the legendary Woody Hayes before the game with that team up North!
What do you need to say about Woody Hayes? If you’ve lived in central Ohio at any time in your life, you know of The Ohio State University football coach, who won 5 national championships during his 28 seasons as head coach of the Buckeyes. Portraying Hayes will be Chautauqua veteran, Jim Stoner, and opening the program will be Desmond Wall.
Doors open for this event at 6 PM, program opener Desmond Wall at 7 PM and Woody Hayes at approximately 7:45 PM. Stoner will portray Woody in first person living history format and will take questions from the audience at the completion of his performance. This is a donation based event and so you already have your ticket.

And remember, the folks who bring you the Chautauqua will once again be partnering with FOOD FOR THE HUNGRY and presenting a musical concert of the Summer of Love era music and a 45 minute musical tribute to the music of Creedence Clearwater Revival at the Memorial Theater at 7 PM on Thursday December 4th. Cost of admission is food or cash or free if you are unable to help the needy of the community.
