MOUNT VERNON – The actress best known for twitching her nose and making things appear or disappear, Elizabeth Montgomery, will be the next guest speaker at the Chautauqua [first person living history] presentation at ThePlace@TheWoodward [120 S. Main Street in downtown Mount Vernon, Ohio] at 7 PM on May 14, 2015. Presenting Elizabeth will be Hope Dial, a veteran of the Chautauqua stage, having provided programs on Marilyn Monroe and Jean Harlow.
Elizabeth Montgomery in the beloved 60’s sitcom “Bewitched” that also starred Mount Vernon’s own Paul Lynde, appeared in over 30 movies and over 30 television series, received 12 Emmy nominations and was very active in championing women’s rights, prolife and gay rights and working to raise money for multiple charities.
The program is presented on a donation basis and sponsored in part by a grant from The Ariel Foundation and the efforts of organizers, the members of the local musical group Elixir. Doors open at 6 PM at this first floor facility that is accessible for those with special needs, opening the program will be Desmond Wall performing his own style of music at 7 PM, with Hope Dial as Elizabeth Montgomery at 7:45 PM with a chance to ask questions immediately after the presentation.
