Mount Vernon - Of all the worlds' legendary characters, few have attracted world-wide fascination like the outlaw, Jesse James. Some call him America's Robin Hood, while others see him as a cold-blooded killer and still others a terrorist, and others the defender of Southern rights. Perhaps he was all of these things.
On May 25 at 7 PM you can decide for yourself. The Chautauqua Series, organized by Elixir Presents with the support of The Ariel Foundation, will bring a first person living history program featuring Jesse James as portrayed by Mike Petee. Opening the program will be the acoustic music of Bill Miller.
The program is held at ThePlace@TheWoodward, located at 101 S. Main Street in downtown Mount Vernon. Doors open at 6 PM at this first floor theater and presented on a donation basis. There is also a question and answer period with Jesse James when he finishes his presentation.
